One evening, I found myself alone at home. Our house had two levels, with an apartment situated on the top floor where my brother and I resided. Despite our parents living downstairs, it offered a comfortable setup. As it was the weekend and raining outside, my friends weren't up for any plans. I decided to spend the night in my room, engrossed in a new, suspenseful movie called "Sleep."

Being an outsider can definitely be desirable. The best proof of this is "Wednesday", the supernatural mystery series about Wednesday Addams, the daughter of the cult "Addams Family". The series, directed by Tim Burton, has been followed by more than 50 million households in five days. According to Netflix, this makes it the English-language series with the most hours streamed in a week (series started on November 23, 2022).
The spin-off of the cult show follows the gruesome life of the Addams Family's daughter. The young leading actress Jenna Ortega (20) causes a sensation with the former niche style of the 1980s - and makes gothic chic suitable for the masses in 2022. Her dark, gloomy fashion is particularly popular on social media: black tulle, stand-up collars and high-necked blouses seem to be very popular with Generation Z.
